Specialty Sheet Metal Installer/Welder

Location: South Florida
Job Type: Project-Based Contract
Pay: $32–$40 per hour, based on experience

A specialty construction company is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Installer/Welder for a commercial project in South Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, fit, weld, and install prefabricated sheet-metal components.
  • Perform clean, accurate welding on stainless steel and light-gauge metal.
  • Read and work from construction drawings and field measurements.
  • Safely remove existing components and install new vertical metal assemblies.
  • Coordinate with the project supervisor and other trades.
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite.

Requirements

  • Proven sheet-metal installation and welding experience.
  • Experience welding stainless steel.
  • Ability to produce clean welds without damaging or warping light-gauge metal.
  • Comfortable working in multi-story buildings and confined areas.
  • Own basic hand tools and reliable transportation.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and attentive to detail.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

This is a temporary project-based position with the possibility of additional work on future projects. Applicants should submit a résumé or brief description of their relevant installation and welding experience.
